A new study claims to provide “a long-term and safer treatment option for men who have erectile dysfunction”, but doesn’t stop there.
The study, dubbed “Viagra for men,” is set to be presented at the U. S. FDA’s March 2023 meeting. Dr. David Graham, associate professor of urology at the University of Minnesota, says there’s “something wrong with men who have ED”, and it’s time for a change.

A doctor at Urology Associates, New York, said the drug can help men whose ED is related to a physical problem, such as coronary artery disease. “It may help prevent erectile dysfunction and have a positive effect on their sexual performance.”
“The only real problem with ED is that there aren’t a lot of men who want to do things like that,” Dr. Graham said.
“The study was just a test to see what the problem is for men,” he said. “That’s what we call ‘the new Viagra trial.’ ”
While Viagra isn’t as effective for impotence, its safety is “really important. It’s a drug that is known for being safe.”
Viagra’s side effects can include headaches, indigestion, muscle aches and dizziness.
“So there’s definitely a side effect of the drug being associated with more side effects than the other stuff,” said Dr. Graham, who added, “This is something that men are worried about.”
Graham was not involved in the study, but was interviewed by NPR’s Quintiles daily and interviewed by NPR’s Quintiles online, at which point the questions were asked.

The Viagra trial was supposed to take place in August, but it was delayed until September, when it began running. The trial was actually supposed to take place in November, but the company that developed the drug for Viagra hasn’t yet announced a date, although it was expected to be in early November.
In a note to NPR’s Quintiles, the company that developed Viagra for the study did not admit to the delay. But the company did have some information about the drug’s potential side effects, and the company was not asked to provide details.
“I can only say that my wife was worried about the delay and that was the only way we could figure it out,” Dr. “It was definitely a concern.”
The study was based on two placebo groups that were randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups: Viagra, which contains the active ingredient sildenafil, or Viagra Connect, which contains the active ingredient tadalafil.
